For most of us, vacation at the end of the year means presents, champagne, chocolate, and being with your family and friends. So to stave off boredom and involve everyone in a fun pastime, I can guarantee that you won't be bored with board games!

This is dedicated to all those who think that board games are:

1. For babies

2. Outdated. Remember that good old trivial pursuit from 1986? ;-)

3. Booooor-ing (see below!)

I'm telling you that there are board games for all ages and styles...it's a bit like the shoes we offer! ;-)

Here are my favourite board games: once you've played them, you'll want to play them again and again!

For holidays with the whole family, become a swashbuckling pirate for a few hours with Jamaica! For those who want to be a super sleuth like Sherlock Holmes there's Black Stories!

Fresh water pirates, your goal is to go behind the pirate ships barriers and be the fastest to sail around Jamaica while keeping stocks of gunpowder, gold, and victuals. Everyone walks the plank; there will be no survivors!

What's great about this game is that it's easy to play for people from ages 8-78. It has great illustrations!

This next game is a must have: Bang! While playing it, you can almost feel the sand of the Far West under your cowboy boots, and the hot desert sun beating down on your cowboy hat. Giddy-up! Yee-haw!

Dark and strange mysteries are here for you to solve them. Put on your thinking cap and find out "who dun it" by asking the right questions and giving "yes" and "no" answers.

Those sleuths who have humour and imagination are going to love straining their brains to find out logical solutions to these impossible situations! As for the number of players, this game can be played with 2-15 players. The more the merrier!

For gossip girls and boys, here is "Privacy."

This game is a bit like Truth or Dare. You have to be honest, speak about your private life and learn about others private life. The replies are anonymous, but will you figure out who replied what?

This game is great for adults over the age of 18.

So which game are you going to choose?
