Even though canvas is often chosen in shoe manufacturing for its lightness, resistance, and breathable qualities, it is a suprise that there are so few products that exist to take care of it. If you need another example of the advantage of canvas, it doesn't require any special aftercare!

In fact, the worst thing that could happen to a pair of canvas shoes would be a stubborn stain that you just can't seem to get out. In this case, the best thing to do is to clean the surface with a new, slightly moist sponge and mild soap. Once you are done, rinse off the surface with a humid towel and then leave them to air dry.

There are those who don't mind putting their canvas shoes in the laundry at 30°, but be careful! Canvas can lose its original shape and the glue that holds together the sole and the upper can weaken. Something to think about before you toss your shoes in the laundry, and only for really, really dirty shoes!!!!
