It’s that time again:
the end of the summer holidays and in a few days time we will all be back to school. This is their
opportunity to go back to school with their best foot forward with a
10/10 in style. To complete their top pupil look, they should have two things on their list: a pair of shoes and a bag that will follow them everywhere!
White socks and black pumps: Claudia Schiffer's daughter certainly knows what to wear in terms of style to create her angelic look! But this is not the case for all children, far from it. Instead many prefer a sporty look. Others swear by velcro fastened shoes in order for a quick and easy fit. And many more like having their favourite cartoon character, whether it's Hello Kitty or Mickey, on their shoes.
|
But no matter what their preference, they all know that comfort is the most important. For playing hopscotch or cops and robbers, they should be comfortable. And this one important detail has been taken care of by these brand names and integrated into all their designs. But enough talking and let's focus on the trendy shoes and the star bags ready for going back to school.
For girls
For boys
And, of course, those great bags!
And don't forget, it's School Days at Spartoo: if you buy an adult and a children's pair of shoes you get a 25% discount on over 300 bags!

If you grew up in the 80s, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Admit it, you too dreamed of taking Marty McFly's place in "Doc's" DeLorean ready to cross the time space continuum and travel to the future (or even back to the past). Nostalgic about the past (or future?), then join us: Nike is offering us the possibility to make at least a part of our dream come true by selling the limited edition shoes worn by Michael J. Fox in the cult film's sequel "Back to the Future II" - the "Air Mag". |
What in the name of Sir Isaac H. Newton happened here! Could it be? Well yes, of course! Nike are selling 1, 500 copies of the infamous (legendary!!), futuristic trainers on eBay until 18th September, with their very own automatic laces that Doc presented to Marty upon his arrival into the future (remember, remember…). In the film these trainers are not available until 2015, so this really is a something extraordinary! Of course, they had to abandon the automatic laces idea. But take a look and you can see for yourselves that the result is pretty cool!
So what's the point of this auction sale? The funds collected will go towards 'the Foundation for Parkinson's Research' sponsored by actor Michael J. Fox, himself a sufferer of this degenerating disease.
Go on, go check them out!

What little girl hasn't dreamt of becoming a princess and taking the place of Cinderella, Snow White, or Pocahontas?? Of course, this is probably never going to happen, unless your name is Kate or Charlene. Finding your Prince Charming in the 21st century is almost impossible. In the place of a fairy godmother who can make our dreams come true, we'll just have to trust the fashion world and follow this season's latest trends.
|
You are in luck! One of the biggest trends this autumn is the Indian Princess. To adopt the trend, start with the shoes! Fringes that dance in the wind, traditional stitching, stylish pearls, and/or hypnotising charms: these boots were directly inspired by those designed and worn by North American tribes.

It's what fashionistas have been waiting for all season long and we can't get enough of this feminine and charming new collection. Who is it from? Chie Mihara of course! You'll love the vintage inspired and smart yet creative models from this designer.

Once again this year, Chie Mihara will add a touch of creative audacity to your wardrobe thanks to her stylish and incredibly comfortable shoes. We love the baroque forms and beautiful materials that remain trendy and modern, all the while standing out from everything else out there.
With regards to trends, you'll love the polka-dot print, feminised menswear models, lace-up boots, and charming t-straps. Chie Mihara knows how to expertly combine materials and colours , especially soft suedes and shiny leathers along with eye-catching colours and soft tones.
The collection speaks for itself. Fans of the brand will love them, and newcomers can only fall in love with the brand's latest collection.

I always wanted a retro-style handbag.
We had already been "Back to the Future" a few weeks ago and now we're diving back into the past thanks to old-fashioned but not outdated designs. |
Each season fashion leans on the past to re-look styles that have charmed our ancestors. Some keep only the best and leave what's distasteful behind us.
Be it modern vintage or a retro revival, the fashion today is a contemporary urban culture with a bit of nostalgia. We'll choose our hand bag from those that inspired today's fashion.

If there is one time of year for prints, it's summer! What could be better after a dreary winter than a fun and colourful outfit? And when colour is combined with a trendy pattern, you'll have a creative and head-turning look!
|
Among this season's must-have prints, here's our top 3:
- leopard for a wild look
- liberty for a 'little fashionista on the prarie' look
- stars to reach new heights
And then there's the patterns that can't be defined, patterns that innovate thanks to their shape and exhuberance. Those which we notice right away and can't help but love, especially as we know we'll never see them on anyone else! Open your eyes - here's a highlight of our favourites....

If there is one brand that exudes good humour and joy, it's Desigual !
Colourful and floral, the brand's beautiful designs come from a great time of 25 innovative and creative stylists!
|
We can't thank Mr. Tomás Meyer enough (born in Switzerland, not Spain!) who, at 20 years old, decided to launch the brand Desigual in Barcelona with bright and warm colours. The only problem for us is that we are always tempted by the never-ending variety of the brand's collections. We all want to own a Desigual handbag! It's simple - with bright colours, patterns, and a patchwork of materials, the brand's models are both original and high-quality!
The Spanish brand has it's own identity and values, such as innovation, positivity, tolerance, and you can see these values in their designs. With Desigual, being original is a must. In summer and winter, add a touch of Spanish colour to your life!

Good news - burlesque is not dead! In the last few years, the retro pin-up trend has drove men crazy and we love it! So put away your boyfriend jeans, get rid of your comfy trousers, burn your slim jeans, throw away your trainers, abandon the nude trend, and say goodbye to the bohemian trend and show off your femininity!
|
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the cabaret! Brought back in style thanks to numerous Hollywood films, burlesque has become a worldwide fashion trend. What we call burlesque is actually "neo-burlesque", which draws influences from Parisian cabarets like the Crazy Horse and American girl-shows from the end of the 19th century.
Who has never admired Betty Page, the famous '50s pin-up or, later, Dita Von Teese, the international style icon? Erotic without being vulgar, provocative without being shocking, everything is about suggestion and sensuality. The striptease is a art on to itself! Opt for sexy and retro lingerie, black eyeliner, flawless skin, red lipstick, sequins and .... heels of course!
Transform into a real "neo-burlesque" pin-up and get ready to turn heads!

Summer is here! Opt for exotic prints, XXL flowers, and animal or fruit shaped charms. Combine coral pink, green, and audacious prints. That's the tropical spirit! A tribute to nature and creativity.
|
Tropical prints were all the rage in the '80s. It bloomed on men's shirts, especially with the debut of the TV shoes Miami Vice. In the '90s, it became a must on loose fitting t-shirts. Who would have thought that it would go through a fashion revival in the year 2011? Seen at Jean-Paul Gautier and H&M, it's back in a big way and adds a real breath of fresh air to our wardrobes. The kawaii version with childlike charms and fun prints OR the chic '80s version (simpler and more stylish) with long printed dresses and large gold necklaces.
There is only one rule: show off your creativity and throw yourself into the exuberant world of tropical prints!

You may have noticed: whether it's slim, boyfriend, boot-cut, straight-leg, or a skirt, cropped trousers, or mini-skirt, denim is everywhere this season. A must have in almost any wardrobe, denim is also perfect for shoes. As easy to wear as a pair of jeans, denim is bang on trend this season.
|
For those who think that denim is synonymous with grunge and casual fashion, rest assured: brands have become very creative in designing inspired models with a rebellious look (Ash in particular) or pretty and glamorous sandals (RAS and Mustang for example). You can adopt the denim trend in accordance with your style and your look.
You are welcome to attempt the total denim look (with the help of different nuances and textures, of course) , but the must is a pair of linen trousers or a mini-skirt with a denim skirt. You can also try a combination of denim shoes + handbags with an otherwise denim-free outfit.

Rock, pop, hip-hop : there's something for everyone. To show off your favourite style of music, there's nothing better than a pair of shoes! New Rock, creepers, skate shoes, trainers .... show me what type of shoes you wear, and I'll tell you who you are!

Music has always influenced fashion. The appearance of the Teddy Boys in the '50s with the invention of British rock'n'roll, the launch of Docs and the revival of tartan prints during the punk years, and development of the goth/dark wave movement at the end of the '70s .... Not to forget the birth of Hip-hop in the Bronx during the early '70s ..... there is definitely an intimate and unbreakable link between music and fashion. Even today, singers and groups like Britney Spears and the Pussycat Dolls inspire young girl's fashion choices. And don't forget the huge influence of international festivals, the new trendy meeting place for it-girls (Kate Bosworth, Isabel Lucas, and Alexa Chung especially) and hipsters with huge sunglasses. Over the last few decades, music and culture have come together to create their own brand of fashion. It evolves, transforms, and even lends itself to stereotypes (rap = bling / rockabilly = tattoos / pop = side-swept hair). Our musical tastes reflect our personalities and allow us to show off our individuality. To each their own tribe and to each their own personality!
