What's going on with Converse?Always the good old old Chuck Taylor and vintage spirit novelties. We like their brand name bags based on the old-school styles of big American universities that make a big hit. Sober trainers, high top casual trainers, leather tennis shoes...you have the choice!

The end of this October, the moment is right to take out of my wardrobe one of my preferred prints. For those girls who weren't following along I love skull prints. And since Halloween's right around the corner, it couldn't be better time to wear them all on your cemetery outings (and I don't doubt that plenty of you girls love this kind of thing), or just use it as a fashionable detail on a sober outfit. |
For all those girls who think that skulls mean "gothic", I just tell them: no way! We can wear skulls and still be the trendiest fashionistas around. For that, just two golden rules : avoid at all costs being covered with skulls (except during All Hallows Eve) and choose one trendy accessory to make a stylish look really stand out (like Christina Aguilera or Madonna for example).
For adults
For kids
After all, you could always try this style, but that's going to be a bit more difficult...

With the autumn season approaching, we have over 3, 500 new models in stock at Spartoo, and more arrive every day! This time, instead of giving you a list of this season's must-haves, I have decided to focus on just two of this seasons more eccentric trends that are bound to interest quite a few of you.
The first is the themed colour trend which reinvents the classic white and black legend. A tom-boy look like at Clarks, a glamorous and audacious version, like those from Marian or even sober and neat like the Chie Mihara. The advantage with this trend, is that these shoes compliment a more monochrome look without us looking as though we're attending either a marriage or funeral. It truly does give us an allure with two-toned looks (black/white of course).
Our second trend is perhaps better suited to rock enthusiasts as this look is all about having a great looking skull on your shoes. Without drifting too far towards the dark side, the models suggested by Now, Ash and Iron Fist can also be adapted for a more rebellious look to give otherwise plain clothes a good dose of character. These pretty skulls with shiny studs are affixed on glamorous models (Iron Fist), as well as the more sober styles (Now), and even a sportswear look (Ash). There really is no need to adopt a Gothic look in order to be 'in fashion'.

I'm in love with the colour pink! Even better, it's summer and the sales are going strong. It's my favourite time of year. I can't help it - I need to have pink in my wardrobe!
|
It's the perfect feminine colour and, when I was little, I loved playing with my Barbie's shoes - that's why I've decided to make a selection of my favourite pink shoes. So trendy and glamorous, they are a far cry from cheap looking shoes. Here's a look at what you can find on Spartoo for girlie girls who love pink!

Music has always influenced fashion. The appearance of the Teddy Boys in the '50s with the invention of British rock'n'roll, the launch of Docs and the revival of tartan prints during the punk years, and development of the goth/dark wave movement at the end of the '70s .... Not to forget the birth of Hip-hop in the Bronx during the early '70s ..... there is definitely an intimate and unbreakable link between music and fashion. Even today, singers and groups like Britney Spears and the Pussycat Dolls inspire young girl's fashion choices. And don't forget the huge influence of international festivals, the new trendy meeting place for it-girls (Kate Bosworth, Isabel Lucas, and Alexa Chung especially) and hipsters with huge sunglasses. Over the last few decades, music and culture have come together to create their own brand of fashion. It evolves, transforms, and even lends itself to stereotypes (rap = bling / rockabilly = tattoos / pop = side-swept hair). Our musical tastes reflect our personalities and allow us to show off our individuality. To each their own tribe and to each their own personality!

As we announced a few weeks ago, loafers have made a comeback! And your little angels can also adopt the trend as many brands have adapted this adult model to the size and shape of little feet. |
Whether inspired by the seaside or copies of mum's and dad's, loafers and moccasins are a must for little ones this season. Easily wearable and trendy, parents and children can't get enough of their comfortable style, practical design, and trendy look. They are easy to put on and take off, can be worn without socks with a pair of jeans, shorts, or even a pretty skirt for a preppy look. They have it all!

Full skirts, the wind in your hair, and tanned skin - these are some of the first things we think of when we think of summer. This season's must-have print, liberty prints can be worn from morning until night, both with chic outfits and more casual looks. Put some of the little flowers at your feet, for a trendy and fresh look.
|
The season of warm weather and long days, a period of relaxation and calm, we love the long days of summer that seem to go on forever. We barely even want to worry about what we are going to wear, and pick out our outfits depending on our mood. As such, we obviously go for simple and feminine styles. Liberty is one of our favourites, and we love seeing the print on both comfortable flats and high wedge heels.

Fashion is not just for adults! The proof with this selection of "motorcycle" boots for children. That's right - little ones also have the right to show off their rebel attitude! For little cuties....
For little bikers...
And a mini-model!

It's impossible to miss this season: denim is everywhere, and not just on our trousers! It seems to be the must-have fabric in our wardrobes, and it still has plenty of surprises in store for the fall.
While waiting this summer, denim is the perfect fabric to wear if you want to show off your fashionable taste in a low profile way. We'll say it again: clean or ripped, light or dark, denim is one of the easiest fabrics to wear and is found on many of our most loved basics.
An in-depth study of three very trendy silhouettes:

This summer has seen the return of sweetness and neo-romantic looks. On one hand, the very 1970s liberty print is in full bloom in the wardrobes of pretty fashionistas. On the other hand, we've seen the return of pastel and nude colours that were already a hit on the 2009 runways. Country beauty or boudoir spirit, the choice is yours!
I'm voting for "Liberty", how should I wear it?
Don't hesitate to play up the country look: small dresses or light, outdoorsy skirts with clogs*, dark rolled-up denim jeans with shoes sprinkled with little flowers (especially espadrilles): everything is possible. You can even mix several prints together. Under one condition: don't forget your entire outfit. Too much is ... too much! To take it easy on the eyes, try to stay within the same colour palette.
I'm voting for "nude", which colours should I choose?
A pinkish beige (the romantic nuance par excellence), white, beige, light brown, camel ... plenty of soft tints that beautify your skin. Attention ! Warning ! Achtung ! Whoever says « nude » says make-up! You can wear the total nude look for your clothing, however a pinkish-beige outfit is not synonymous with nude make-up, unless you want to look like a ghost ....

This time, one thing is for certain: spring has sprung! Trees are budding, butterflies are fluttering and the liberty print is present on all the important pieces of our wardrobe, starting with our shoes. Pick some flowers and play the neo-romantic, whether you are a city fashionista or a country trendsetter. Worn in little touches, it is an evidence!

In ten years, the biggest trends will no doubt be what is popular today. Since the end of last year, I can't help but notice a sudden return of brands and styles that I've definetly seen before. From the Reebok Pump to the NikeAir Force, each of these emblematic models is back and better than ever.
.
With time, certain brands have anticipated this trend and noticed that adolescents / young adults that grew up in the 1990's now have buying power that cannot be ignored.....
Among these nostalgic returns, let's not forget the sudden rise in interest for the Timberland 6 Premium.
Well known by the pillars of the Hip Hop movement, Timberland has for a long time been the loyal companion of the American rap scene. From the Wu-Tang Clan to Tupac, the heavyweights of old school rap have at one time or another worn these classic shoes.
The durability of these shoes are no doubt one of the reasons. Their large and sturdy style is not just for looks. Anyone who has ever tried on a pair of Timberland boots knows that these shoes were made to last for years, no matter what the circumstance.
Time will tell if this "so" '90s shoe will find their place in a new decade ....
